    Spoiler:
Based on one of the articles, it sounds like we'll have three main factions/pillars representing politics, military, and spies.

Leliana's basically been confirmed as the spymaster who handles that represents the spy side. With that information, its safe to assume Cullen represents the military, and the other unknown lady in the group picture shot represents the political pillar. Assumably, these people are important npcs apart of the Inquisition, but not actual companions you take on the field.

Also, Leliana's unlikely to be romancable since I think they've said their averse to previous romance characters being romancable in future games. You might still be able to get a dance and song out of her.

Also, David Gaider's response on the characters having different sexual preferences:
I understand there are some people who prefer the idea of being able to romance any character who is able to be romanced, with any PC. That may have been a happy by-product of the system in DA2, for them, but that was not its purpose. Its purpose was to allow more than one option for every type of player, no matter who they were. That remains our goal.

As Mark Darrah tweeted earlier today, we have characters that are gay as well as bisexual and straight. I'm not going to discuss numbers or any further details at this point, so you can make of that what you will, but that allows us to tell more types of character stories without having to resort to ambiguity. Those stories exist for players who don't romance the characters as well, and that's also important. The rest will come as we discuss this aspect of the game in detail, but I'd hope the Dragon Age's team's expressed interest in inclusivity would provide us some benefit of the doubt until that happens.

Not really news, but an in-game screenshot of some of the party members and the PC.

So we have an actual good in-game screenshot of Solas. And a shaded, dark view of Iron Bull.

Just can't give us those last party members, can you Bioware?

On that note, they've also now announced the collector's edition for a mere.....$170 that I'm sure all you hardcore Dragon Age fans will be wanting to get.

Yeaaahhh . . . . no thanks. I want all the digital content of course, buuuuut I can do without all the junk. The only things that look cool to me are the Inquisitor's Journal and the Quill & Inkpot.

Just from an article, but I thought this quote was pretty cool.

"There's an interesting undertone here of people in the world believing that you have been sent as a leader by the maker of the universe," explained creative director Mike Laidlaw, in an interview with Polygon. "As a player, I have the option of saying, 'Oh yeah, I'm the chosen one' or asking what the hell they are talking about. It's up to the player."
That could be pretty fun to play around with in regards to reputation and dialogue.

Also, this got leaked a while back. I don't think I showed it here. Can be unaccurate due to being old, but most of the info that it had has been revealed to be accurate. Spoilers for possible antagonist motivation.
    Spoiler:

So the final dungeon's probably going to take place in the Black City. Makes sense with the emphasis on the fade rip, demons, and other plot threads.
Also, Leliana = Purple Crows, Cullen = Red Fist, Other lady in group shot = Gold Keys

Oh ho, so now I'm the Maker's Savior as Andraste was his Bride. Hail Jesus!

orrrrrr . . . since I'm playing female maybe now I'm just his Mistress. Or Concubine. Or Second Wife. Ewwww.

Tee hee. Gonna be hard to not always take Cullen's advice just to please him. *fangirl speaking*
Seriously though, this seems like an interesting way to play. Keeps inviting you to do several playthroughs. Now I can play my Human rogue, my Qunari Mage, AND my warrior (race undecided).

Yeah, if that offers actual genuine branch paths of "do this and the other things *in completely different areas* get locked off" that'll be really cool and motivate replays.

If its the much much more typical "Do this first with no real consequence then do the other two things if you want and the order doesn't really matter" then meh.

Most likely it'll be more like what the other DA games have done though... "Go through this dungeon which doesn't change at all regardless of what you choose to do, and only the politics at the end matter at all". Which also invites replays too, but not to the same degree. (But three factions instead of the usual 2 could go a long way.) (And in DA2 was completely awful since NOTHING you chose made any difference.)

Screw whichever side wants to help the elves though. WHat they describe and have been describing sounds like the first thing, so... I'm hopeful.

Well according to the Dragon Age Facebook page, our Warden companion's name is Blackwell.

They keep hyping up "meeting so-and-so" at E3. I'm guessing we're going to get character trailers? That'd be nice.

Oh hey, look, Bioware was nice enough to post the trailer on Facebook without making us slog through E3:

    Well:

    1. We got to see more Sera and Tevinter Magister Guy, but only from the back. Dammit.
    2. Vivienne looking sass-ay.
    3. Some battles with cool-looking drake enemies.
    4. Was that a really cool looking Lion helmet?
    5. Poor Leliana, she's a big spot in this trailer. Getting hung up on a hook isn't fun. Just how much of a presence does she have in this game?

Pretty boring reveals for Bioware to me. Didn't really get any new info that we didn't already know and Mass Effect was all concepts, so nothing could be taken as concrete.

As of right now, yeah. Hopefully the Twitch/IGN DA:I sessions will shed a little more light. And hey, Fem Inquisitor!

--- Update From New Post Merge ---

Well, Bioware apparently was nice enough to at least update their character page, even if it was just with the characters we know already, we've got some more details:
    http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/characters

Sera is from the group Friends of Red Jenny. Remember them? That . . . . little sidequest from DA:O? Looks like Bioware didn't forget it's canon and found a way to bring Sera in without her just being a random elf the Inquisitor found on the street.

Apparently a big sale on DAII at Origin now. Was thinking of picking it up and just disabling comment to run through it, but I didn't want to buy it for $8 and then spend $30 on the dlc.

So it is. Here's an article with a little more depth about it:
    http://www.escapistmagazine.com/arti...ted-by-BioWare

I raise my eyebrow over the "billion possible faces" and "16 million armor combinations" but go Bioware for making this as detailed as possible. I think the "Dragon Age 2 was too damn small/cramped" really sunk in.

Over a billion possible faces, over 900 million of them are absolutely hideous. Honestly though it's not really that unreasonable. Keep adding sliders and the options grow exponentially.

But yeah Dragon Age 2 must have been the most crap that Bioware has taken for a release in their entire history as a company, not that Mass Effect 3 was any picnic. They seem to have taken it to heart, and it sounds like they plan to compete on the large, open world scene going forward. That makes me happy!

Seriously what gives me the most confidence is that they took 4 years to make this game. DA2 was like half of that? And not sure how much time they had on ME3 but it felt like it was less than they took for the jump from ME1 to ME2. So I hope I won't encounter anything in that game that makes me think about "hey couldn't
they have spent a bit more time/money on that?".

I think it's nice that we have quite a lot of followers to choose from but man one of these days I just want to see what they could do if they'd focus on like 3 followers.
