That's good news, the show has been surprisingly good.

Colors look nice at least but nothing in this trailer excites me.

Kinda meh. But as always Cloris Leachmen gets the best line.
I kinda like that it focuses on the friendship over the love triangle, and the colors are popping, some of the jokes are good, but I'm real worried it could go for some sort of "modern people are too SOFT and don't know the TRUE MEANING OF FAMILY, not like old fashioned people" messaging. It'll probably settle for some sort of "we can all learn from each other!" middle ground, but at this point in time I'm personally much more a fan of "Old Fashioned people need to be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern day" messaging.
That the boyfriend switches clothes and hairstyle to the modern look pretty much screams that he has to revert back by the end of it, and the "Betterman, emphasis on better" name means they have to be knocked down a peg, so...

From the creators of Hazbin Hotel.
I just started watching Jem and the Holograms for the first time, since Tubi got the entire series. I'm 10 episodes into the series and I like it so far. One thing for sure, I'm surprised how much the Misfits and Erick get away with stuff. I know the show is from the 80's but I like a lot of the outfits that the characters were during each other.
Jem was my GIRL.
I loved Jem as a kid. I watched some of the series several years ago on the HUB network (that's not still a thing is it?) and I thought some of the stories held up pretty well. One of the few female dominated cartoons at the time and I remember finding out most of my friends that were boys watched it and liked it.

The IDW Jem comics were really good too and did a great job modernizing the characters and updating certain things (Misfits wouldn't actually do illegal shit directly)
It did seem to flounder after a while tho, getting downsized to recurring Mini series instead of having an ongoing. It also never got folded into thw massive Hasbro shared universe they were doimg for a while.
For assembly line products that were only a few seconds long, the songs in Jem were better than they had any right to be.
Here's a playlist of all 187 songs.

Recently grabbed some of these for my wife, it really is a shame that they're basically all a minute to a minute and a half, plenty of them could have been real songs.
Also, that they never released an album or 8 is mind of mind boggling.. apparently they were worried about bad sales of a real album hurting the appearance of the fictional character. And not with the fact that they might have sold millions of tapes.

There were cassettes (I think two or three songs each) packaged with the line of dolls. The cassettes drove up the prices of the toys, meaning less toys were sold, and less toy sales was what got the show canned.

If only there were digital media downloads back then. ;)

Just make sure you never watch the live-action Jem movie. It's a blasphemy of a movie.
I'm just gonna post this.
