Nah, I keep contact with my family and I miss them terribly. I just still randomly break down about it or go in angry moods (at myself mostly) since I missed him by a day. I know I couldn't have known and all he was going to leave so soon and maybe in some ways it was better I wasn't there, but still.. I hadn't seen him since I had left Cyprus in 2014. I wanted to do this for him so bad and I feel like I completely and utterly failed him

Yes, I moved in the states in August 2014 and got married to our resident monkey (Zeph haha). We are doing alright, Zeph wrapping up his studies so he can start teaching and I am teaching in a public program designed for working parents while also getting ready to grab my license to head into higher grades (I'm considering 2nd grade instead of pre-k). Unfortunately we lost my dad in December to lung cancer and I've been dealing with that by not really dealing with it like adults usually do


On other news the green card process can be brutal I advice future immigrants to just be born here if they can!
