Insects are almost perfect food source, nutritious, plentiful with full of proteins and replenishes fast even in dry areas. They are actually quite tasteful if done right even delicious.

Only reason why they are not eaten is because people think eating insect is nasty and disgusting, its pretty stupid actually. Insects are excellent source of nutrients and should be eaten as much as fishes. Well I would never eat dog either so I cant be too preachy either.

Well, they were trying to "fix" me.

They also suggested that I pick up sports, or spend some more time with my estranged father.

LONDON -- A woman desperate for another child forced her 14-year-old daughter to impregnante herself using syringes of donor sperm bought over the internet, a British judge said.

The judge said the woman, an American divorcee living in Britain with three adopted children, hatched the plan after she was prevented from adopting a fourth.

The scheme involved getting her oldest daughter to inseminate herself with syringes of sperm purchased over the Internet from a Denmark-based company, Cryos International.

Jackson said the daughter, identified only as A, "became pregnant at the mother's request, using donor sperm bought by the mother, with the purpose of providing a fourth child for the mother to bring up as her own."

In his ruling, the judge quoted the teenager as saying said she was shocked by the suggestion, but thought, "If I do this ... maybe she will love me more."

It would be a miracle if that got passed. When was the last time flipping the bird to normal people actually worked out for these conservative nuts? I almost believed them when they said, in utter embarrassment after the presidential election, that they needed to re-evaluate their views in an era where only rich aging bigots agree with them.

    RIP GOP.

Oh, so if I understand correctly, it passed it the GOP House, but not yet in the Senate & signed by Obama (which you KNOW he'll veto) so it's not technically an actual Law yet, right?

The House GOP at this point seems like they know they're fucked. So they just stopped giving a fuck at this point.

This really owns because geographically speaking....

    1. It's a huge area! On the maps it will show up big and beautiful, unlike our friends Delaware and Rhode Island. It's in your face data.
    2. It means the game is now officially on in the Midwest. Iowa, Minn, and Illinois is fighting the battle as we speak. The domino effect of this can start swinging into Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan if certain circumstances make it so. Might even effect Pennsylvania if it gets boxed in from both sides. It was always a bit more Midwest than the rest of the Northeast, Philly aside.

No ones interested in Mayan history right?

BELIZE CITY -- A construction company has essentially destroyed one of Belize's largest Mayan pyramids with backhoes and bulldozers to extract crushed rock for a road-building project, authorities announced on Monday.
Pell survived because he is a Falcon - Stop using him as a bad example.
The Peregrine Falcon reaches faster speeds than any other animal on the planet when performing the stoop, which involves soaring to a great height and then diving steeply at speeds of over 320 km/h (200 mph)

    Not surprising.
Brazil recently displaced an entire population of native people by flooding their lands.

Yes this has a pretty long way to go before it could ever become close to real.

Despite the title of the bill "Working Families Flexibility Act".

Paid vacation is not the same as overtime pay.
While the former can recuperate stressed workers, it does not add any more money to the annual sum income. The latter does. There are families that rely on the surplus income.

This bill is extremely convenient for companies to save money, while providing no additional income to the workers. How is this not obvious?

But doesn't the text of the bill mention that the employee unions or the employee themselves would have to consent before the company can replace the overtime with compensatory leaves? So its basically an opt in system?
I honestly don't understand what the brouhaha is about.
