Still, what a boring match. It's my first time seeing a Ricardo fight (there may have been others before but I never read the full series) ; is he always like this ?

Yes, that's his whole struggle.

His fights are ALWAYS quick and boring.
And he hates it.

Whenever he feels like he's found a worthy challenge, he's always let down and they fold like paper.
He's just too good for anyone to handle, without even trying.
As a result, he feels lonely at the top.

He himself wishes for more hot blooded or exciting matches,
but he is ALWAYS disappointed with how effortlessly he beats his opponents.

The fans still love it because "holy shit, this guy is so good",
but he himself isn't satisfied at all.

They’re not typically boring unless you hate the idea of a guy (whose not Takamura) throughly destroying his opponents after feeling them out (except Ippo in that spar).

In terms of boxing? No doubt. But Takamura would probably lay him on account on being much heavier and pretty much only needing a graze.

Ricardo desperation for a good fight makes me look forward more to a match with Sendo then Ippo. Miyata is too clinical and Ippo is fairly dutiful so both very much depend on Ricardo losing while with Sendo he'll make it entertaining no matter.
