We now apparently know what was up with the Kanye Presidential run (aside from the obvious attempt to give the reluctant Biden voters an attractive protest candidate)

He apparently understood he was on the ballot in too few states to win but expected to get a few million votes at least which he then intended to parlay into a position on Trump's 2nd Term Cabinet because he also assumed Trump would win of course. Then he was going to use that as his "in" in politics to do a serious presidential run in 2024 where he actually did everything on-time instead of last minute and (I assume) run as the Republican.

Now, because America didn't give him his million or more votes he wanted and because we dared to vote in Biden, he's considering leaving the country because "We don't deserve him".

Oh my god I can't stop laughing.

It's almost impossible to tell what will happen in midterms. It's been a long time since we last had a president starting without all three branches. idterms are usually a refferendum and a loosening of power, but if he does an okay job and covid gets beaten in that time, without making daily noise, he may gain seats in the midterms instead.

Trump is what inflated the ticket, turnout in 2018 was massive blue wave. So its hard to tell.

It's exactly for this reason why there should be more red tape when it comes to running for office of the presidency of the United States. Just throwing your hat in the ring and being able to have a chance to be the most powerful person on the face of the planet at the expense of having legit understanding of political reality and function comes off as reckless and I'll even dare say dangerous!
