Completely unrelated, Biden is doing a speech without wondering where he is even once!
He's also slurring his words and tripping over himself. Are we watching the same speech, or do you guys just tune that stuff out?

He sucked, not just from a standard criteria but his own.

The joyous evil lord of the court vibe was entirely something of the much more energetic and already chaotic primary debates.

Kaiolino is not a mod dem type, if he's making fun of you and Robo for playing up cartoon ideas of Biden that should be telling you something.

That was the only jab I remember. Everything else was meh. Also the jaws meme with him creepily following her around. I suppose trumpy just fell back on his baser instincts of stalking women there, lol.

How could anybody forget that legendary retort "No puppetnopuppet. You're the puppet!" when Hillary brought up him being exactly what Putin would want as a President?

    It was a great speech.

Too bad speeches don't mean jack when it comes to facing political reality.

Unfortunately, they might in this election when Trump has pretty much hinged a huge amount of time criticizing Biden on being mentally deficient.

To the point that HE struggled to drink a cup of water with incredibly shaky hands and needing both, and simultaneously played off "successfully" drinking a small cup of water and throwing it(as opposed to gently placing it down) as a "victory". To his base, yes it's "owning the libs"

To middle America, something like that is "what the fuck is wrong with this dude".

Trump has a CLEAR record of projection. Evident alone in his long twitter history of things he regularly criticizes others of, that he routinely practices. So it doesn't bode well when this man has spent months claiming how "sleepy Joe" can't give a speech and is physically weak. As Biden makes ads out of him riding a bike with others, and gives a successful speech in a string with other Democratic officials that even many of my left wing "Ah, fuck biden" friends have conceded in admitting this was a overall a good, inspiring event.

Hell, one of my "never Joe" friends who is involved in booking bands regularly contacted me tonight to team up with me to set up an event to register Dems to vote after tonight!

Also speaks volumes of where Trump is at after the DNC week when he is in Scranton telling them "Joe Biden abandoned you" because his family moved from Scranton when he was 10. As he pulls in on his limo with Good Year tires as he's calling on Twitter for a nation wide boycott on them because he fell for a fake image someone spread on twitter claiming his MAGA attire was banned while BLM was encouraged.

I'm not talking about the election, I'm talking about if/when Biden gets into the Oval Office should he win the presidency. I've seen nothing as a smoking gun showing that the Republicans will play ball with Biden after Trump. Speeches, realistically, mean nothing to me.

    Of course not.

There is no "playing ball" at this point.

I have to assume/hope anything close to saying so is just lip service at this point.

The GOP had full control to do as they pleased for the first two years in Trump's presidency, didn't build the wall, didn't remove the ACA.

They blocked Obama at every turn and blocked his specific Presidential duty to nominate a SCOTUS member in his final year under the idea of "well lets let voters decide".

I don't think for his own sake in terms of a relection campaign should he win, that Joe is going to play ball to quite the extreme Obama did early on.

This isn't Obama "playing ball" by allowing the ACA to fall short of being Medicare 4 all because he was recovering a fucked economy and was trying to balance the "scary black man will take all your guns" hand with "trying to appease what the voters want".

At this point, the Bipartianship barely works. Is Joe a full Leftist? No. Absolutely not.

But do I think he will be playing by the same "safe" card Obama did? No.

Should he win, the game isn't to "play ball" with the GOP. They're not going to. Period. And as much as people see Joe as the stereotypical career politician, there's a difference between the political environment of when he was VP and now.

Nobody would have ANY reason to think the GOP is going to play ball at all. Even the most moderate Dem. The best you'd get on that would be Tulsi who'd say "Present"

There is no "playing ball" anymore. There is only getting a majority in all three houses and bullying them into doing their jobs at this point.

Also arresting the ones that sold the country out.

If the history of America letting guilty people get off scot free for questionable and outright horrible shit is any indication, Good luck getting that to happen.

And that's why I have no faith in this system going into 2021. It's all about the leverage and we're going to keep seeing this shit show play out for the next four years, albeit more toned down should Biden win and take office.

This is good. I like this. Except extend it to any democrats who don't support m4a, legalizing weed, and free higher education. Should add comprehensive police reform as well.
