It’s a fucking box, like 12 trial he’s, average Pokémon must be like 1200. And that is before texture and animations.

That is bulbasaur s nail, and that if it is the one box bag pack

Galarian Weezing secret ability is Neutralizing Gas that nullifies all the abilities of pokémon on the field. This along with the new moves and held items presented, there seems to be a lot of focus on tweaking the competitive play.

No new pokémon revealed, but Gastrodon is in <3 not on my "must be in list", but one of my top favorites, so good enough.
Btw, the pokémon confirmed to be in this time: Gastrodon, Conkeldurr, Whimsicott (japanese trailer) and Qwilfish (official website) - also Golisopod (japanese trailer) was formally confirmed since all we had so far was a picture on E3 that suggested it was in (and this one was obviously a deal braker for me).

    Galarian Weezing: exists.

Aegislash: "Why I'm stuck in shield mode?"
Slaking: "I suddenly don't feel lazy anymore"
    Archeops: "AYAYAYAYAYA"
    Golisopod: "Tactical retreat? Not today!"
    Mimikyuu: "Where's my disguise!?"
    Shedinja: "Uh... help?"
Yamper: "Meh, I don't feel like fetching back your pokeball. Just throw another one"
    Wishiwashi: fainted

No wonder megaevolution was replaced with Dynamax and Gigantymax.

    Regigigas definitely will.

This seems like a significant balance issue.

I know, they did it to solve balance issues like this one.

It's not a balance issue, it's just a strong combo. The opponent could just as easily switch in their own Slaking in such a scenario too. And then if the Weezing got knocked out, or got its ability suppressed somehow, suddenly you have a useless pile of crap.

what happens when something in battle suddenly gets slow start? The counter starts then and there, right?

    His name is Barry.
    I think.
I believe he's introduced because the personality of the rival in RubySapphire was too weak
And gen1 and 2 were jerks so he's supposed to be a healthy mix

I like him though mainly because he was a challenge and Sinnoh had too many powerful personalities anyway.
That lucario dude was pretty cool.

Yeah. The same happens if you switch out Regigigas, it resets the counter every time it enters the battle (so it needs to stay for 5 whole rounds there until it can properly fight, something pretty much impossible for any pokémon in competitive play with all its switch outs and ins).

Someone on 4chan claims to have spoken to a Nintendo of America employee at D23 who offered some clarifications about Sword and Shield:
    Spoiler:

The employee strongly implied that the reasoning behind the policy that caused the removal of many older Pokemon was identical to the reasoning behind Gamefreak's known policy of removing other features from each new game: to make every game feel unique.

This is really the only explanation we've gotten that makes any sense.

We've had one for a long time: November 15th.

As for starter evolutions, the middle evolutions for the Alola starters were revealed first week of October for a November release. Last evolutions were revealed weeks before release.

If they follow a similar pattern, we're still a month away from starter evolutions.

Random thought of the day: If Sword/Shield get a third game (ala Crystal/Emerald/Platinum), what would it be called? Pokemon Bow? Pokemon Lance? Pokemon Staff? So many weapons.

My pick would be Pokémon Cloak.

I’m low key hoping that it’s based on the Japanese regalia, and it’s bead, or jewel or amulet. Or whip to complete the Okami set.

The last single 3rd entry was Platinum. After that was B&W2, nothing for X&Y, and Ultra S&M. Might be those triad days are over.
