Us looks like a perfect movie to be featured at Simpson's Treehouse of Horror.

    Are they still doing that?

I just saw Us tonight. I really liked it. The soundtrack was excellent.

    Actual spoilers:

    Spoiler:
The music playing with the first shot of the bunnies was at least interesting enough for me to keep somewhat interested but I think it went on too long. All the actors did an amazing job on their Shadows. Some humorous, some flat out creepy. Was not expecting the voices.

The ballet sequence was so cool. Especially paired with the I Got 5 On It creepy mix. I totally called the beginning. That she got swapped early on.

Oh and randomly my friends and I saw Sterling K Brown at the theater we went to.

I want to like this trailer, but the story looks average at best. One of those It's a Kids Movie So We Don't Have To Try plots and dialogue. Looks like the actors are at least trying to work with what they got.

I liked her in outlander so I'm hoping she'll be just as great in the nevers

Just saw The Notebook for the first time

    Spoiler:
It was a cute movie. That's about it. The main problem with it I think is that we never really got a sense of who Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams' characters were as people. It's like the writer(s) just expected us to care because they were young attractive people who acted happy and giddy around each other. The production and acting are all very good, but the script didn't do much to get me invested.

And I don't really get why people say this is a super sad bawl-your-eyes-out movie. I mean, yeah, the dementia angle is sad, but they still ended up together and it ends on a hopeful triumphant. And I've cried at movies before, but yeah, this didn't really do it for me.

Seriously, this looks like the most fun zombie spoof since Shaun of the Dead.

Why does this needs a sequel?

They split the book into two movies.

The first one was about the children. The second one is about them dealing with IT as an Adult.

You must have not read the novel or seen the original film.

John Wick 3 was pretty great. It felt more lore heavy (surrounding the assassin organization) than the previous two but had nice action like is expected.

    Spoiler:
The fight with the bald sushi guy's apprentices went on too long imo but that was the only fight I felt that way about. I also was really worried the movie was going to end when the SWAT-like people were storming the hotel but I'm glad it went on after that. I thought this movie was going to be the last of the series but I guess not. I wonder at this point what the next movie will be about since it seemed like Wick and Fishburne's character are going to basically go up against the entire organization somehow.

Official trailer for the new Tarantino movie dropped yesterday.

Looks good. Nice that he's taking a break from revenge/historical films (unless you consider the 1960s historical).

    *snort* "Fried sauerkraut" . . .

And yes, I think the 60s is now officially old enough to be considered historical. Especially when you consider that this movie is dealing with real people from the 60s, including *ick* the Manson Family.

I heard the movie was going to be about the Manson murders. I don't know if that was wrong (and that'll only be a part of it) or if the trailer is just a bit misleading. In any case I'm not that excited about the movie and I might not bother watching it in theatres.

Edit: The red band trailer made the movie look a lot more interesting. It also had Manson in it.

I saw brightburn, I actually really liked it, but damn I did not see the ending twist coming

    Spoiler:
they basically set up an evil justice league, kind of, some blogger talks about how there's more out there like him and mentions a scary half fish man and a woman with rope, so basically aquaman and Wonder Woman, interesting concept at least.... kind of reminds me of Dark Metal
