Last week, I saw the first Amazon box set going for about $600. Now there's a new listing for one being sold for $68. It's too bad that a lot of OOP DVDs gets bought by scalpers who sell them for much more than they were worth originally. At least the price for this listing is MUCH more reasonable.

Mushroomconda was voiced by Erica Mendez, of all people. Hope this means she happened to be around to voice some other, more important character somewhere. Assuming any other One Piece dubbing is taking place.

Mike McFarland directed the dub, AND wrote the script for this special.

The only extra feature is a video interview/discussion between Ian Sinclair and Michael Johnson (Vice Admiral Komei).
I’m not surprised Mike directed. My only little nitpick of the dub was that Komei’s first line when he introduces himself to the straw hats sounds too high. It didn’t sound like the rest of his lines, maybe because the actor hadn’t settled in yet. Not a big deal at all though.

I am surprised to hear that the voice of Tsuru also voices big mom. She does a good job making them sound very different.

It would be pretty bad if Netflix took over one piece, but I suppose it’s better than it being canceled entirely. No idea if they would work with the same cast or recast everyone. Probably the latter.

Funimation announced a "One Piece 20th Anniversary Panel" for Anime Expo.

    Details are as follows:

    Sunday, July 7
    12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | One Piece 20th Anniversary Panel

Set sail with One Piece as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the anime. Join us as we discuss this epic anime with voice actor Patrick Seitz (voice of Franky), VIZ Media, Bandai Namco and other special guests. Plus, we’ll show never-before-seen videos, have Q&A with guests, giveaways and more!.

Not much here in the way of announcements, but I don't see anything to suggest us needing to worry about cancellation. Never before seen videos - sounds like out takes whilst recording.

A 20th anniversary special with only Patrick Seitz in attendance? Doubt we'll hear any news at this one, then.

I bet we won't hear anything until closer to October.

I’m betting they will announce season 10 for October, since this is only one week before solicitations are announced.

--- Update From New Post Merge ---

It would be really weird for them to completely dodge the new episodes question at this thing.

Funimation announcements panel later today. I don't know if they will announce October's slate a little earlier, but if the rumours of a fall return for One Piece is true, then perhaps it is possible.

I figured they'd wait for the anniversary panel on the 7th, if they announce anything this week. Here's hoping, though.

Maybe we'll finally get Grand Battle 5.

The huge amount of anime news coming out of AE makes me hopeful for today.

And hopefully they can get the Blu-ray rights before Wano. I want to see that arc dubbed on Blu-ray.

It should be starting any moment now. And it's time to play the waiting game for news. lol.

So, thus far, nothing new at all. And now, they have Sasaki-San and Dmitryi from Bandai Namco Entertainment, so I can't see anything new being announced here.
