Great chapter, I wasn't expecting Tsukishima to get a backstory so soon.

I think removing them before comitting suicide is the actual hoax

I wonder if we'll see a flashback telling the story of his scars...

The anime will star April 9.
Let's all do some offerings to the kamuis for a great adaptation.

Thank you! Here´s another I finished a couple days ago! (crossover with animal crossing

I´m not gonna spam with art, but keep in mind that I´ll be doing more art of GK (and Vento Aureo), mostly stuff I can sell as stickers on red bubble. I always post them on my twitter, which is on my signature

Concerning this week´s chapter (only saw the raw so far, on lhscans)
    Spoiler:
Where´s Kadokura? I figured he´d stick with Hijikata´s team. Guess he was sent on an errand?

Since 4 days ago and up to the anime debut´s day, Noda will be answering fan´s questions, not unlike Oda in the volumes SBS

You can read them on the official GK twitter

    Ch 153 out: https://mangadex.org/chapter/217264

    Spoiler:
I really liked the mix between old and young Hijikata/Youichirou. There's a young heart beating inside that old geezer
Now I realize all the info at the end is produced by the scanlators. Such a fantastic job

Ok the first episode is out. It was really solid, the bear did look atrocious but they seem to want to improve the mixing of cgi with regular animation.

This series has a pretty unusual and interesting setting. There's plenty WWII-inspired anime, but not much WWI-inspired stuff or the time just before it (1906 in here).

It's interesting because it still allows for mysticism and fantasy stuff while edging into people's beliefs of the supernatural going away. WWI sort of takes those beliefs away all over the world, but just before that? It's an interesting mix of both depending on the part of the world.

Kamui looks to be combining those elements and using them for it's story, which fits.

The main mystery and main character seem interesting enough, but yes, could use fewer CG animals.

WW? I think the sreies is inspired in Russo-Japanese-war (1904-5)

That's what I'm saying. It's rare to see something prior/close to WWI and I find that neat. It's a few years off the actual conflict, focusing on this one just before it.

You don't see a lot of that and... it's also pretty touchy for Japan.

I wouldn’t say that fantastic takes a big part in the serie. There is a bit of fortune telling but that’s most of it. The animism of the ainou of course is explained through their legends and their culture but that’s not playing a big role in the story

Yes, that's what I was thinking, the spiritual stuff and more modern war stuff sort of combining - that's a better way to put it. The legend about the prisoner itself has sort of an air of mystique about it. It's a good era to combine that kind of stuff.

Asirpa has more nature-based beliefs and Sugimoto is obviously shaped by the war he was in. It's a interesting contrast.

I figured that'd be a backdrop thing. Interested where this whole thing goes.

We´ve entered clown territory and I´m more than ready for this. Koito was born to be an acrobat and Tsukishima needs to be put on a clown costume
