Has anyone read Devil? (lmao I think it goes in this thread) I read #1-3 yesterday and it's...not too bad. In a sort of generic way. The art isn't too terrible.

Lol. True. I'll admit I understand why so many hate what happened in OMD, but I'll also admit that it is the only reason I started reading Spider-Man again.

I just like Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy, Betty Brant, Liz Allen (and now Norah Winters, Michele Gonzalez, and Carlie Cooper) a LOT more than MJ.

I went to Iowa City yesterday, and I went to the Comic store that they had downtown, since my friend knew where it was. Since he used to live up there when he went to college there.

And damn, I almost had a breakdown, since I saw ton of the books that I wanted to read and stuff and plus it was my first time in a comic book store. But I end up picking up the 7th volume of She-Hulk when I was there. Since I was getting the 6th volume for my brithday from my mom.

Congratulations Sano, welcome to the group of people who visit comic shops lol.

My friend said he felt naked when we were in a club partying last night. None of us were wearing our Green Lantern Rings. There was a distinct lack of the symbol of my hope and illpower, my friend's greed and my best friend's wrath :p.

It just sucks that I don't go to Iowa City that much. Since pretty much an 1 hour and 30 minutes to Two hours drive to there. But I do want to go there more often If I don't want to order my books online off of Amazon, Overstock, and Barnes and Noble.

And my first year of collecting comics (I only get them in the graphic novels way) is about to end on May 6th on my brithday. If inculde what I got for my brithday, I got 18 books. Which isn't bad in my opinion.

Here what all I got so far.

    Marvel Civil War (hardcover)
    X-Men: Kitty Pryde & Wolverene
Young Avengers - Volume 1: Sidekick
Young Avengers - Volume 2: Family Matter (Hardcover *I got it for $7.00 on black friday sales*)
    Runaways - Volume 1: Pride & Joy
Civil War - Young Avengers & Runaways

Could you tell me what that free book day is all about? Today I went into a comic shop for the first time and they told me to come back tomorrow for the free comic day. I was thinking about heading in and picking up a few Tank Girl comics so I figured I should check it out.

Oh and the things I learned from my first time in a comic shop was that their One Piece collection was abysmal and superman apparently has 3d comics.

One of my local shops is getting Mark Waid. I might try to go early and have him sign my Absolute Kingdom Come.

Another shop is getting Marc Silvestri and Marv Wolfman. Luckily, they're not that far from each other.

Free Comic Book Day GET: Invincible Iron Man, Ultimate Marvel, Avengers, DC Universe 0, and The Green Hornet. My store didn't get any of The Tick.

But they did have a sale, and I bought a bunch of Image stuff...okay, Kirkman stuff. Invincible Returns (which he signed because he was there weeks ago; WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS!), and The Walking Dead hardcovers vol. 1-3.

Too bad the "closest" comic store here is like 4 miles away, too much for walking X_x. Been reading some Thor (Vol. 1), Flash (Wonderland), and finished reading Captain America's omnibus, great reads btw.

That's the case with writers too sometimes, but otherwise, yup that's Quesada's stance on Spidey.
Speaking of Spidey I had raed JMS' Spiderman and it was too friggin' good. Dr. Doom randomly popping up is hilarious xD
