Luffy's Techniques (ルフィの技)

The attacks in Luffy's arsenal all use the powers of the Gomu Gomu Fruit.

    • When Luffy is about to use his devil fruit abilities, he usually prefixes his move with this.

    Extends fingers like a fishing net.

    Stabs Going Merry's mast into an enemy.

    • Translation: Hammer

    Swings Mr. 3's "Candle Lock" with great power.

    Stabs out with an elongated kick-stomp. Because of his sandals, it leaves an imprint of a stamp.

    Bends around enemy and shoots them upwards.

    A gag technique, Luffy keeps his water container out of Usopp's reach by extending his arms.

    Extends mouth to snatch up an enemy. "Baku Baku" is the sound effect for chomping.

    24. Gomu Gomu no Marunoko

    • Translation: Buzz Saw

    Pins enemy and headbutts them.

    25. Gomu Gomu no Pistol Shot

    Twangs a "Pistol" punch to connect one hit multiple times. It is called "Shotgun" (ショットガン) in the anime.

    26. Mizu Mizu no Pistol

    Shoots out huge spheres of water to douse an enemy after consuming a barrel of water.

    A swirling barrage of punches that far surpasses "Gatling Gun". Beforehand, Luffy breathes in a large amount of air, twists, and releases for a spinning propulsion.

    Spins in midair and launches attacks in all directions.

    He uses this to briefly counter Enel's Mantra ability by unconsciously dodging. Luffy doesn't complete the word for "Daze".

    Considered to be "blood doping", Luffy pumps the blood in his body through his legs causing it to circulate faster in his body. His rubber body can withstand its intense pressure. In return for speed, Gear 2nd puts a huge strain on his body.

    Luffy bites into his thumb and blows a large amount of air into his bones, which makes his giant form incredibly firm and strong. In return for this power, he sacrifices speed.
