Califa used to be the secretary for Iceburg himself, but her fall from grace came when she revealed her true colors as a government operative. It was Califa who began the attack on Galley-La Headquarters, as the first masked CP9.

Her skills are, in addition to Rokushiki, the use of a thorned whip, useful for attacking groups or binding foes. Also of note is the fact that she considers a wide array of behavior as sexual harassment, from scolding her to calling her name... to even existing! Not even her bosses are exempt from that sort of thing.

During her fight at Enies Lobby it was revealed that Califa ate the Awa Awa Fruit several chapters before, which gives her the ability to create and control bubbles and foam. These bubbles, however, dispose not only of dirt and grime but also the strength of Califa's enemies, and in fact with those bubbles she is capable of smoothing down anything she wishes.

Califa's Past

Like the rest of CP9 we know NOTHING about Califa's past. She was probably in her late teens when she first infiltrated Galley-La, but other than that not much is known.
