Ben Beckman is the first mate of Shanks' crew, and a veritable demon of a man like his captain. Always seen smoking and settin', Beckman appears laidback like Shanks... but he can be a real bugger when he's serious. In his old age Beckman has grown a bit of gray hair, to be picky.

Well, like the rest of Shanks' crew we don't know much about Beckman. He seems to know Shanks very well if his manner during and after the bandit attack is any indicator.
