In-Depth Summary

The episode begins with Dorry and Brogy blowing the Island Eater apart, freeing the Going Merry. The waves from the crashing Island Eater wash over Dorry and Brogy as the Going Merry sails off. Dorry and Brogy hold out their weapons, and they break, prompting them to start laughing. A flashback then begins, talking about how there were two pirate crews of giants, one led by Dorry and one by Brogy, from the island of Elbaf. Dorry and Brogy are shown drinking with each other after having each taken down a beast. A little girl then walks up to them and asks which beast was bigger, prompting Dorry and Brogy to begin comparing the two beasts, much in the same way that Zoro and Sanji did. It turns out that Dorry and Brogy argued over it for one hundred years, the beasts having long wasted away to skeletons. In present day, Dorry and Brogy sit as the volcano erupts, and so they declare that it is time for them to decide their duel once and for all.

The scene shifts to the Going Merry sailing along, Usopp declaring that one day he will visit Elbaf. Luffy agrees and starts dancing and singing with Usopp. Nami sits against a wall, apparently quite ill. She gets Vivi to watch the Arabasta Eternal Pose. Vivi recalls speaking with Igaram in Arabasta, as he bestowed the task of not dying before the rebellion is quelled upon her. Sanji then offers Vivi and Nami a relaxation dish while Luffy, Usopp, and Carue eye it greedily. On the deck, Zoro trains hard, saying how he must become stronger. The scene shifts to Arabasta, where Mr. 2's ship, the Swanda, is departing. Mr. 2 complains about having to after Mr. 3. Back on the Going Merry, Nami starts to head into the cabin, not feeling well, and she collapses. Vivi calls the others over, and so Nami is brought into the cabin to be looked at. Sanji agonizes over whether Nami will live or not, and vivi says that Nami is probably ill due to the odd climate of the Grand Line. She asks if there's anyone with any medical knowledge on the ship, and Luffy and Usopp point at Nami. Luffy suggests that Nami eat meat to feel better, but Sanji goes on to explain that he always is sure to take care of the nutrition of the others.

vivi takes Nami's temperature, shocked to find that it is 40 degrees Celsius. Vivi says that it will take another week to get to Arabasta, which will be too late to treat Nami. Sanji, Luffy, and Usopp freak out, worried that Nami will die. Nami then wakes up and weakly tells Vivi to look in her desk drawer for a paper. Vivi reads it, finding out that 300,000 Imperial Soldiers have defected to the Rebel Army, causing the rebellion in Arabasta to start gaining momentum. Nami mentions that the paper is three days old, and that she hid it from Vivi to keep her from stressing. Nami denies having to see a doctor and says that they should just head straight for Arabasta anyway. As she heads up the stairs, though, she can't make it out the door. Vivi thinks about how Arabasta is about to be ravaged with war, and that they must get there as soon as possible or 1 million of her people could be slaughtered. Nami steps out onto the deck, seeing that Zoro has been letting the ship go in the completely wrong direction. Zoro says that he was letting the ship go toward a big cloud, which freaks Nami out, realizing how she's the only one that can navigate.

Zoro calls the others out and tells them to get to work, a sa big wind is about to hit the ship. Luffy feels Nami's forehead and notes she is burning up. Nami insists that she is fine, but can barely stand. As Sanji, Zoro, Luffy, Carue, and Usopp set to work getting the ship back on course toward Arabasta. Vivi continues to agonize over the situation in Arabasta, so she steps onto the deck and requests that they head toward Arabasta as fast as possible. She then says it's time to find an island with a doctor, since having Nami in good shape will be the quickest way to get them to Arabasta. Nami apologizes to Vivi as she starts to collapse. The Going Merry then just barely misses a massive thunderstorm, and they are nearly struck by lightning. Vivi is amazed that Nami was able to predict a cyclone on the Grand Line, as they are nearly impossible to predict. They then continue toward an island with a doctor. Luffy asks Zoro if he can see a doctor. Zoro is in the crow's nest with binoculars, and mentions that he sees a man standing on the water ahead of them. It turns out to be Chess as the episode draws to a close.
