In-Depth Summary
After a lengthy recap of Little Garden's events, the episode begins with Usopp yelling at Luffy, demanding what he's doing. Mr. 5 arrives and loads his pistol as Usopp fires a Sure-Kill Flame Star. Usopp's attack strikes Luffy in the back. Usopp lands on the ground with Carue and says he didn't see any bullets from Mr. 5's gun, but suddenly Mr. 5 uses Breeze Breath Bomb, striking Usopp with a great explosion and sending him and Carue crumpling into a heap. At that moment, a singed Luffy stands up, his shirt burn off, thus the Color Trap no longer being in effect. At the Going Merry, Sanji waits impatiently with his dinosaur carcass, wondering where everyone is. He rides on the back of a tiger and starts calling out for the others when he happens upon Mr. 3's wax house. Back at the scene of the battle, Luffy yells that his friends are still alive, but Mr. 3 says that Luffy's too late as he rises back to his feet. Mr. 3 emerges from the jungle before the others, having used Candle Champion, his body now encased in a giant wax suit of armor. Usopp, Luffy, and Carue gape at Mr. 3's new form as Mr. 5 explains that it is what earned Mr. 3 a 42 million berry bounty.
Mr. 3 orders Miss Goldenweek to endow him with powers. He declares that he is completely invincible in his armor. As Mr. 3 stands up to Luffy, Luffy marvels at how cool Mr. 3 looks. As Miss Goldenweek paints up Mr. 3's armor, Luffy uses Gomu Gomu no Pistol. It has no effect and Mr. 3 charges forward, using Champ Fight - Plowing the Field to swing his arms around, but Luffy leaps out of hte way. Luffy leaps up and uses Gomu Gomu no Stamp, but his attack has no effect and he leaps back to the others. Usopp sees the wax vapor forming on his fingers, looking up at the spinning wax pumpkin and getting an idea. Usopp tells Luffy to set to wax on fire. Mr. 3 then winds up his wax fists once again and charges at Luffy, declaring that Luffy's friends will die in 30 seconds. As Usopp winds up an attack to strike the wax pumpkin, Mr. 5 strikes Usopp with another Breeze Breath Bomb, causing Usopp to collapse. Luffy winds up to attack the pumpkin, but Mr. 3 strikes him down. Usopp tries to hand a rope to Carue, but Miss Valentine lands in front of him. Usopp yells for Carue to run around the base of the Candle Service as Mr. 5 readies his pistol again. Miss Valentine sits down on Usopp's back, using Crescendo Stone. She asks how many kilos Usopp can sustain, raising her weight steadily, as high as 300 kilos. Mr. 5 shoots repeatedly at Carue, but Carue scrambles too quickly to be struck.
As Mr. 3 and Luffy continue to fight, Luffy grabs onto Mr. 3's hair and declares he'll just use that flame to burn the wax. Usopp struggles under Miss Valentine's weight, soaking the rope in oil, and so there's a giant burst of flame as Luffy pulls Mr. 3's hair to the rope. A huge area of the island is up in flames as Mr. 3's suit of armor begins to melt. He flees into the jungle with Miss Goldenweek. Miss Valentine, still sitting on Usopp's back, strikes Usopp in the face, yelling that he's ruined everything. She leaps up and uses Sure-Kill 10,000 Kilo Guillotine, and Usopp is unable to move out of the way. However, Nami and Vivi emerge from the flame and strike Miss Valentine in midair, sending her flying. Mr. 5 points his pistol at Usopp once again, but Usopp uses Sure-Kill Gunpowder Star. Mr. 5 catches it in his mouth, but can't handle it. Usopp then tells him that it was actually a Tabasco Star, and Mr. 5 starts spitting flames, too hot for him to handle. Mr. 5 yells at Usopp, calling him a filthy pirate, and so charges at Usopp, getting ready to use Full-Body Explosion. He grabs Usopp and is about to attack when Zoro burst forth from the flames, using Burning Demon Slash to strike Mr. 5 and engulf him in flame. Mr. 5 falls, finally defeated. Brogy then emerges from the flame, free from the wax at last, and he looks over to the collapsed Dorry. Brogy then says that there are still two left.
In the jungle, Luffy and Carue are running, chasing after Miss Goldenweek and Mr. 3. They stop when they find an area filled with many Mr. 3's, called the Mr. 3 Mansion. Mr. 3 says that a power-idiot like Luffy cannot defeat them. The real Mr. 3 is waiting with a dagger, and he says that Luffy will be killed if he makes a mistake. Luffy uses Gomu Gomu no Stamp and strikes the real Mr. 3 in the face, driving him into a tree. Mr. 3 asks how Luffy knew as he collapses to the ground, finally defeated. Luffy replies that it was instinct. Carue then spots Miss Goldenweek trying to sneak off, and charges at her. Meanwhile, Sanji sits in Mr. 3's wax house, drinking tea. He says that he shouldn't be sitting around tea, as Nami could be awaiting his rescue. As he is about to leave, he stops when he finds a shaking basket. He opens it up to find a Den Den Mushi, then answers it. He hears Crocodile on the other end, who says that the report is late. Sanji asks who is calling, and Crocodile replies that it is Mr. 0 as the episode draws to a close.
