Short Summary
As Dorry and Brogy battle to yet another stalemate, Luffy and Usopp are both inspired by them, especially Usopp. As Luffy and Dorry drink together, Dorry's ale explodes due to Mr. 5's Devil's Fruit power, causing Dorry to think that it was Luffy who sabotaged him. Luffy and Dorry engage in a fight, but Luffy manages to topple the giant. As the volcano erupts again, Dorry is forced to fight against Brogy despite his injured condition.
In-Depth Summary
The episode begins with Dorry and Brogy clashing their weapons, causing shockwaves through the whole island. Luffy watches in wonder as the two giants are evenly matched, driving against each other. Usopp watches in amazement as well, as every attack is aimed at a vital spot, and wonders if that's how the battle has gone for the entire 100 years. Nami says that this is their chance to leave, but Usopp stays to watch, mesmerized. Nami calls the fight pointless, but Usopp replies that it is a true man's fight, since it is a duel for their warrior honor. Nami tries to leave, but Usopp stays, since he wants to become a brave warrior of the sea, one like Dorry and Brogy. Usopp declares that he wants to see the village that Dorry and Brogy come from. Meanwhile, Miss Valentine floats up into the air so she has a clear view of the giants' fight, telling Mr. 5 that they are completely absorbed in it. Dorry and Brogy knock each other's weapons out of their hands and take a deep breath, saying how they both want to go home, which is why one of them must win. As Brogy axe lands on the ground, they get up and attack again, striking each other with their shields. As they are at a stalemate, they declare that they have had 73,466 battles, and all of them have been draws. They both collapse, exhausted. Suddenly, Dorry and Brogy start laughing together, and Brogy says how he's had two visitors.
Zoro hears the laughter and decides that he will catch whatever the noise is coming from. Sanji, also hearing the noise, decides to do the same thing. Back at the cave, Dorry has a drink, asking Luffy and Vivi if Usopp and Nami are their friends. Vivi asks if it really takes a year for the Log Pose to set, and Dorry explains that that's why there are so many bones - most people don't survive the conditions of Little Garden. Dorry explains that they have an Eternal Pose, but it points to Elbaf, and the winner of the fight between Dorry and Brogy will claim the Eternal Pose. Luffy replies that it won't help them, so Dorry suggests that they just set sail and try and find Arabasta on their own. As Luffy and Dorry start laughing together, Vivi becomes very angry.
On the other side of the island, Usopp and Brogy talk together, and Usopp explains how he wants to become a warrior just like the Elbaf Warriors - full of honor. Brogy starts to laugh, explaining how Elbaf Warriors want to die with their honor, and that in Elbaf, honor is their treasure. Usopp declares that he will call Brogy his master. Suddenly, on the other side of the island, a great explosion from Dorry's ale knocks the giant down. Luffy yells about who did it, since it would ruin the 100-year fight, but Dorry blames Luffy for it, since Brogy, a fellow warrior of Elbaf, would never violate his honor. Luffy decides to stand up and fight against Dorry. Vivi tries to explain that they don't know why the ale exploded, but Dorry doesn't listen and so Luffy and Dorry begin to fight. Luffy runs up Dorry's sword but is knocked down by Dorry's shield. Luffy launches himself at Dorry and strikes him hard, causing Dorry to bleed. He uses Gomu Gomu no Rocket to strike Dorry again, and so Dorry falls back. Dorry, howver, rights himself in the air and stomps on Luffy, surprised that Luffy has the power of a Devil's Fruit. Dorry then collapses to the ground.
Luffy pulls himself out of the ground, and Vivi runs up to him. Luffy yells how he is angry since someone sabotaged the alcohol. The scene shifts to Mr. 3, to whom Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine report, having succeeded in their attack on Dorry. Mr. 3 says that they just have to await the next duel of the giants, and he says that warriors are like boars - if attacking head-on is avoided, they are easily beaten. Mr. 3 then proceeds to explain a divide and conquer strategy against the Straw Hat Pirates, saying it is easy to beat enemies without lifting a finger. Back outside, the volcano erupts again, prompting Brogy to head off to battle. Dorry struggles to get up, but is very injured from his fight with Luffy and the exploding ale. He declares himself as an Elbaf warrior, and that he must fight regardless. As Brogy awaits Dorry's arrival, Dorry straightens up to head off to battle as the episode ends.
