Short Summary
The giant approaching Nami and Usopp turns out to be quite friendly, named Brogy, a giant of Elbaf. Vivi and Luffy encounter another giant named Dorry, also quite friendly. It turns out that Dorry and Brogy are locked in a 100-year battle due to the laws of their village Elbaf. As a volcano erupts, the two engage in battle, having forgotten why they are even fighting. Meanwhile, Mr. 3 plots to capture the giants for their large bounties.
In-Depth Summary
The episode begins with Usopp and Nami crying out in horror as a giant looms over them. The giant bends over and asks if they have any ale. As Nami offers all of their ale to the giant, a dinosaur comes up behind the giant and bites him on the backside. The giant swings around with his axe and beheads the creature, declaring himself as Brogy, the strongest warrior of Elbaf. Usopp and Nami collapse, leaving Brogy confused. Meanwhile, Luffy admires the view while Vivi is horrified by the volcanoes and the big holey mountains on the island. She tells Luffy to get off of the brontsaurus' head. Luffy tries to direct the dinosaur, but it doesn't understand him. Suddenly, there is a great rumbling as a herd of brontosauruses arrive, larger than the one Luffy is on, and so he launches himself onto the head of a taller one. The dinosaurs turn angry and try to bite Luffy, but he just leaps from head to head, avoiding their jaws. He slides down a neck and so launches himself onto the head of another brontosaurus, the tallets one, to get the best view. That dinosaur flicks him up and opens its jaws to eat Luffy. Luffy sits in the dinosaur's mouth and is swallowed.
Suddenly, another giant, this time with a sword instead of an axe, comes and chops off the dinosaurs head, freeing Luffy from it. The giant holds Luffy in his hand and laughs, declaring himself as Elbaf's strongest warrior, Dorry. Vivi falls to her knees, having never seen a giant but only having heard of them. Luffy declares that he is a pirate, and he introduces Vivi and Carue. Dorry offers to show them his place. Meanwhile, Brogy cooks up some meat by a large fire with Usopp and Nami lying in a nearby cave, still playing dead. Usopp shouts when he sees some skulls, causing Brogy to turn. Nami decides that they have to escape from Brogy, and so the two scurry away as fast as they can. They encounter a sabre tooth tiger and so run the other way, fleeing from it. They have to turn back and run away again as they are chased by a large dinosaur. They all stop when they come across Brogy again, and so Usopp and Nami finally give in as the dinosaur and tiger flee. Brogy offers them a chunk of dinosaur meat, but Nami mentions she's lost her appetite. Brogy is confused when Usopp and Nami say they don't want to eat it. Usopp and Nami think that Brogy is trying to fatten them up so he can eat them later.
Nami asks Brogy how long it will take the Log Pose to set for Little Garden, to which Brogy replies one year. Usopp and Nami collapse, and so Brogy tells them to enjoy themselves. Meanwhile, Dorry and Luffy have made fast friends, as Luffy eats some dinosaur meat and Dorry eats from Luffy's packed lunch. Luffy asks why Dorry is living alone, and Dorry replies that his village is Elbaf, Village of Warriors, somewhere out on the Grand Line. He explains the rules of his village, how to settle a fight, the two opponents must leave and accept the judgment of their god Elbaf by fighting his opponent and having the rightful victor survive. Dorry explains that he got into a fight and he's been fighting that opponent for 100 years. Luffy is surprised by the length of time, but Dorry explains that giants live three times as long as humans. Meanwhile, Sanji drags along the carcass of the dinosaur he'd beaten while Zoro does the same. They meet up again, and both declare themselves as the winner at the same time. They try to match up their dinosaurs, and Sanji's dinosaur has a longer tail so Sanji declares that his is bigger. They proceed to argue about semantics involving meat and both declare how they'll each win next time. A volcano then starts erupting, and Zoro and Sanji decide to bring what they can to the ship.
Dorry takes the eruption as a sign, so he gets up. Brogy does the same, telling Usopp and Nami he must be going to resume his battle with Dorry since the volcano is the sign of their 100-year battle. Luffy and Vivi watch as Brogy comes toward Dorry, and so the two giants engage in their fight. When asked the reason for their fight, Dorry replies that he forgot what it was a long time ago. The scene then shifts to a large block of wax which a dinosaur bites into. Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine arrive, and so Miss Valentine uses 1000 Kilo Press to quickly dispense of the dinosaur. They step into the wax block, which turns out to be a house, and inside are Mr. 3 and Miss Goldenweek. Mr. 3 calls them weak, and he shows them the wanted poster for Dorry and Brogy, as they are wanted for 100 million berries each. Mr. 3 explains that Dorry and Brogy are on the island, and that using his intellect he can guide Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine. He says that together they can capture the giants for their bounties, ending the episode.
