In-Depth Summary

The episode opens with the Going Merry drifting through snowy waters. Nami demands how it can be snowing when it was just sunny. Luffy makes a snowman on the deck that he promptly calls Mr. Snowman, but Usopp creates the vastly superior Snow Queen. This quickly erupts into a fight between Usopp and Luffy. In the cabin, Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 complain about the cold, irking Nami. Nami notes that the seasons are spinning out of control, and Miss Wednesday says that Nami doesn't know what she's doing. She tells Nami to check the Log Pose, and Nami is shocked to find out that the ship has made a full 180 after she only took her eyes off of it for a second. Miss Wednesday tells her that on the Grand Line, one can't count on the sky, wind, and waves, but must focus on the Log Pose at all times. Nami orders everyone to help out so they can change the direction of the ship, when Usopp notices that the sun is coming out and the wind is turning. They then come toward an iceberg as fog rolls in. Sanji and Nami struggle to steer the ship out of the way, and they end up grinding against the edge of the iceberg, causing a gash that Usopp rushes to fix.

Suddenly, the wind becomes very strong as a thunderstorm hits, so the Straw Hats struggle to take in the sails. After a long battle, they manage to withstand the storm. Zoro then wakes up and wonders why everyone's exhausted, so they become furious. Luffy then explains they're going to Whiskey Peak, the home of Wednesday and 9. Zoro wonders about the names of the two agents, but Nami gives him a beating for sleeping through the storm. Nami then declares the strength of her navigating skills as Whiskey Peak appears on the horizon. As they draw near, Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 bid farewell and leap off into the ocean, swimming to the island. The Going Merry drfits into a river mouth, and Nami explains that they have to stay on the island for a while so that the Log Pose can adapt to the magnetic field. Usopp worries about having to go to Monster Island, but Luffy is gung-ho about the whole deal and decides they should keep going. Usopp says that he has "I-can't-get-on-this-island" disease, but no one listens. The Going Merry drifts through fog as it comes upon land, and there waiting are several figures with binoculars.

The Straw Hats see the people waiting for them, so Nami says they should be on their guard. However, as they come closer, they find a large crowd of people cheering for them and welcoming them to the Grand Line. They are greeted specifically by Igarappoi, the mayor of Whiskey Peak, and he invites them to join in a celebration of their adventures. Nami asks Igarappoi how long it will take for the Log Pose to adapt, but he does not give an answer and declares the beginning of the celebration. That evening, there is a great, bustling party as Usopp, very drunk, tells stories to the people. At first, Nami turns down the alcohol, but Igarappoi explains it as very rich wine, so Nami takes a sip and enjoys it. Igarappoi then declares the beginning of a drinking contest, where the last person standing is the winner. However, when Igarappoi shows the prize of 100,000 berries, Nami declares she's in, and that Zoro should enter as well. Nami reaches her twelfth tankard while Luffy devours twenty servings of food, causing the chef to collapse in exhaustion. Sanji is also wooing twenty girls at the same time. Meanwhile, in the attic, Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday write up a report on how their provision mission failed due to the Straw Hats. They head out and put the note in the Unluckies box to send it to their boss.

Inside, Zoro collapses after thirteen tankards, but Nami is on her fifteenth, still going against a large woman in a nun's outfit. She finally collapses, and Nami is the winner, but goes down as well, as well as Luffy, who has finally eaten enough. Soon, all of the Straw Hats are asleep, down and out from the festivities. Outside, Igarappoi, Mr. 9, and Miss Wednesday stand together, and Igarappoi's other name turns out to be Mr. 8. The nun from the drinking contests steps out and joins them, revealing herself as Miss Monday. Mr. 8 then takes out Luffy's poster and shows that Luffy is worth 30 million berries, shocking the others. Mr. 8 then says it's time to make a report to their boss, but before that they must capture the Straw Hats alive to send to the government for the bounty. However, they are shocked to find that Zoro is awake, sitting on top of a building, having heard everything. Zoro declares that no true swordsman should ever be fully knocked out, and is ready to face the townspeople bearing weapons, all of whom turn out to be bounty hunters. Zoro declares that he will take them on, calling them Baroque Works, and this shocks them. Zoro explains he was offered a position in Baroque Works but refused, then explains what Baroque Works is. Mr. 8 says that since Zoro knows their secret, he must be killed. However, Zoro disappears before they can attack, and the episode ends.
