Luffy manages to pull Zoro onto the ship in time as the Straw Hats make their escape and head back for the Dragon's Nest.
In-Depth Summary
The episode opens with the Straw Hats looking up at the ceiling of the chamber, noting that the large paintings on top look like a map. Nami figures that it was drawn by the ancestors of the inhabitants of Warship Island, who Bokuden had said left Lost Island long ago. They see that the drawings depict people worshiping the Sennenryuu as gods. The map shows a dome-shaped building that the Straw Hats figure is the Dragon's Nest, not on Lost Island, but on Warship Island. Since there is no Dragon's Nest on Warship Island, Nami theorizes that it sank into the sea. Apis runs over to Ryuuji and begs him to remember where the Dragon's Nest is. Ryuuji looks up at the map and focuses on the drawing of the dome-shaped building. He looks on another drawing of a multi-tiered sort of tower, and remembers flying through the sky with a flock of birds toward it. Ryuuji remembers where Dragon's Nest is, to the east of a summit at a place that looks like a battleship.
Apis sadly says that they wasted their time coming there and apologizes, but Usopp tells her there's still a chance of finding it. The Straw Hats all encourage Apis, and so they decide to head out for the nest. However, Erik approaches the ruins, and Zoro senses him coming. Erik thanks them for the explanation of where Dragon's Nest is, and he says he will take Ryuuji. Sanji mentions Erik's Kama Kama Fruit ability, and Zoro tells Luffy to take the others and move ahead while he deals with Erik. Luffy sees no exit so he decides to make one, but just ends up ramming into a solid wall and falling to the floor, but then a hole beside him bursts open. Erik leaps down and attacks Zoro. Zoro notices that Luffy is still looking at the mural, and yells at him to leave. Luffy takes the others and Ryuuji on the cart and so tears through the hole in the wall, sliding down a very thick root toward the forest below. The entire group manages to roll down toward the ancient city below.
In the ruins, Zoro and Erik are at a standstill. Erik tries to distract Zoro with Kama Kama no Whirlwind and runs off to chase after Luffy, but Zoro goes after him. Down below, Apis asks if Zoro will be all right, since Erik has a Devil Fruit power, but Luffy remains confident. They crash through a stone building as they continue their rampage off of the island. Erik stops and spots them, but Zoro stands in his way. Erik leaps through the ruins, shooting off more attacks as Zoro manages to avoid them. Erik tries to flee, but Zoro chases after him, so Erik cuts down a branch to block Zoro's way. Erik starts running but is tripped up by a branch thrown by Zoro, who catches up with him and stands over him with his sword. Zoro is momentarily distracted by the others in the distance, so Erik tosses sand in his eyes. Meanwhile, a wheel breaks off of the cart and the group starts spinning out of control down a ramp. They reach the water's edge at last by some odd luck. Apis sees that Zoro is in trouble, so Luffy calls out for Zoro. Luffy stretches out his arm and grabs Zoro, pulling him down to the ship at the water's edge, making Erik angry.
Later, the Going Merry emerges from the mirage, appearing before the Marine ship. Erik boards the Marine ship soon after. Erik gets mad when the Marine officer asks him if he got any Ryuukotsu. As the Going Merry sails along, Nami wonders what they will do to escape the Marines once they arrive. Luffy says that they'll just search underwater for the Dragon's Nest. However, they find a massive Marine ship coming toward them, the ship of Admiral Nelson. It is flanked by an entire fleet. The ships roll out chains to form an impenetrable wall in front of themselves. Usopp says they'll just cut through it, telling Sanji, Zoro, and Luffy to do it. The Marine ship of Erik also draws near to the area, and Erik thinks about how much he hates Nelson. As the Going Merry charges toward the chain wall, the episode draws to a close.
