In-Depth Summary

The episode opens with everyone gaping at Luffy's destruction of Baratie's deck. Don Krieg orders Gin to shoot Zeff, but Gin hesitates, since Zeff is the one who gave them food. Luffy states that he is going to destroy Baratie. This causes even more shock, and Sanji grabs Luffy by the collar, asking if he's crazy. Luffy replies that if he destroys the restaurant, no one will get what they want. Sanji demands if Luffy understands how much he owes to the restaurant, but Luffy replies that dying won't pay back anything. As the two continue to argue, Pearl comes up behind Sanji, getting ready to finish off Sanji with one more blow. As he charges, though, Gin drops his gun and leaps into action, whipping out his iron ball weapons and smashing Pearl right in the chest. Pearl's armor is shattered, and he collapsed to the ground. Krieg becomes furious, but Gin replies that he wants to finish off Sanji himself. The chefs warn Sanji about Gin's strength, and how he is called the devil-man.

Luffy makes a comment about the weakness of the Krieg pirates, causing uproar among them. As the pirates are about to charge at Luffy, Krieg sits down and declares that only someone who is weak would be offended if they were called weak. He tells Gin to take down Sanji, but to leave Luffy to him. Gin agrees to these terms as his battle with Sanji begins. The two leap about, taking several swings at each other, and Gin manages to catch Sanji across the neck with his weapon, pinning Sanji to the floor. As Gin spins around his free weapon, he tells Sanji to die and swings it at him. Sanji spits his cigarette into Gin's face, distracting him and causing him to miss as Sanji flips out from under Gin and delivers a hard kick to Gin's head. In desperation, Gin thrusts out his arm and strikes Sanji in the side with his iron ball weapon, and so both combatants collapse to the floor, exhausted and battered. Everyone watching is amazed, but Sanji and Gin slowly rise to their feet again.

Luffy sees that Don Krieg is busy watching the fight, and he takes this opportunity to make a charge at the captain across the fallen mast. Krieg sees Luffy coming, and he flicks a small explosive into the water, knocking Luffy off his feet. Krieg then fires at Luffy with a turret on his shoulder, knocking Luffy back, and Luffy gets mad, demanding when Krieg is going to start fighting him. He then turns back to see Sanji lying on the ground, coughing up blood, as Gin stands over him with his iron ball bloody. Gin grabs Sanji around the throat and starts swinging his iron ball to kill Sanji at last, but is struck by memories of Sanji's kindness to him in the restaurant. Gin stops and declares that he cannot kill Sanji, tears streaming down his face. Krieg is livid that Gin is refusing like this, and Gin goes on to ask Krieg if they can just leave the restaurant alone.

This pushes Krieg over the edge. Furious, he removes one of his shoulder plates, holding it in front of him as a small hatch on it opens. The Krieg pirates recognize it as the MH5, Krieg's poisonous gas bomb. Krieg declares that how one wins is not what matters, only the fact that they won. Luffy becomes furious and charges at Krieg, but Krieg fires a barrage of green and yellow spears, forcing Luffy to scramble back to where he was standing. As Krieg prepares to fire the MH5, the pirates take out their gas masks. As Gin takes out his gas mask, Krieg tells him to throw it away. Luffy tells Gin not to listen, but Gin insists that Krieg is the world's strongest pirate and that Luffy cannot beat him. He tosses away his gas mask much to the shock and horror of Luffy and Sanji. Krieg then fires the Poisonous Gas MH5, and as the chefs dive into the water, Luffy stretches out his arms and grabs two gas masks from two pirates, tossing the masks to Gin and Sanji. As Luffy looks for a mask for himself, he is unsuccessful, and with a look of horror upon his face the MH5 detonates with a massive explosion, ending the episode.

Mumbo230's Notes:

Another intense episode. Krieg's MH5 is the perfect demonstration of just how ruthless he is. Gin's speech of how he cannot kill Sanji is especially touching.
