Episode 22: The Greatest Pirate Fleet, Captain Don Krieg

Short Summary
Tensions between Zeff and Sanji continue to elevate as Zeff tells Sanji to leave and become a pirate. The great pirate Don Krieg comes aboard the Baratie, demanding food, and when given to him, he turns on the chefs and orders that his men be fed. However, something about the name of Zeff brings up something within Krieg.
In-Depth Summary
The episode opens with Zeff telling Sanji to get lost already, and that the cooks don't like him anymore. Zeff and Sanji get into a fight, and Sanji refuses to leave the restaurant. After Zeff storms away, Luffy uses this as an opportunity to ask Sanji once again to join his crew, who promptly refuses. Sanji then fixes up Nami's meal, and Nami flirts with him so that she can get the meal for free. Usopp becomes angry, and Sanji kicks Luffy back to work. We then cut to four days later, with the Straw Hats still on board Baratie, and they are considering fleeing on the Going Merry. As Luffy continues his chores, Don Krieg's massive ship is spotted coming toward Baratie, and the people in the dining area are instantly afraid. Even if Zeff is worried as the ship lands and Gin and Don Krieg step out.
Everyone is surprised to see Don Krieg in terrible shape as Gin takes him on board, and Don Krieg begs for food and water. The cooks are against giving him anything, though, as Don Krieg is one of the most dangerous men in East Blue and they would be doing a favor to turn him in. When Patti is about to kick Don Krieg out, Sanji knocks him out of the way and heads up into the kitchen. He brings out some food for Don Krieg, who devours the food very quickly and thankfully. The cooks are angry, though, and Carne explains how Don Krieg is a con artist and has even impersonated Marines just to take them down from the inside. Don Krieg then slams down his wine bottle and clothes-lines Sanji, knocking him down. He stands up and declares that his ship has 100 men that are starving and dying of thirst, and demands that food for 100 men be made for him. Gin gets angry, as Don Krieg promised not to hurt anyone, but Krieg picks up Gin and tosses him aside.
Sanji decides to make the food for Don Krieg, to the shock of all of the chefs. As he heads for the kitchen, the chefs stop him by holding long knives and pans against him. Sanji declares that he doesn't care what a customer does after eating, as long as they are served. Patti then knocks Sanji down, and he whips out a massive lobster bazooka, firing it at Don Krieg. A massive explosion ensues, but as the smoke clears, Don Krieg is still standing, wearing his golden armor. His armor spreads out and he whips out two guns, and so he fires from turrets on his armor and from his pistols, taking down many chefs. He orders that he be given food for 100 men, and so Zeff comes out and drops a large sack of food in front of Don Krieg. The chefs are shocked that Zeff did such a thing, but when Krieg hears the name Zeff, he begins to tremble, ending the episode.
