Episode 141: A Longing for Home! The Inescapable Pirate Graveyard!
The episode begins with another childhood scene, where the kids swim to an island; however, when Henzo can't follow, he turns into an adult and wakes up from his dream. He and Robin have a short discussion, and the ship starts moving. Luffy orders the ship to go forward, but everyone realizes they're going in circles. To test this, Robin fires the cannon straight ahead, and it almost hits the ship from behind. Luffy also tests this by launching himself, and he ends up in the sail. Robin then decides to talk to the kids and uncovers one (named Pukau) from hiding.
The scene shifts to the kids' hideout, where Akibi and Longo have kept that other pirate (named Ian) prisoner and tells him of Henzo's return. Ian offers a way out of the Mist in exchange for freedom, but Isoka sees through him and reminds the two how cruel Ian was to them when they first entered Ape's Concert. She tells of how he had them gather everything nearby of value, left them to fend for themselves, and starved them as he feasted. That all changed when a Sea King took the Tyrielshin. After the story, Ian tries escape again, but 'twas in vain. An alarm sounds, as the Going Merry approaches, with Pukau's help. Lapanui boards the ship and uselessly attacks Luffy.
With that, the scene shifts back to Ruluka, where a crowd gathers at the Tyrielshin's return. Mayor Whetton reveals the ship as his own, and Nami still seeks the treasure within Ape's Concert, but the mayor still denies them entry. He then charges them a tax for knowing about the treasure and wants them arrested for not paying it, at which point Phillip blurts the secret to everyone.
Meanwhile, in Ape's Concert, Lapanui continues his futile assault on Luffy, which Zoro abruptly halts. Pukau then tries to convince Lapanui that Luffy and company aren't bad, but Lapanui doesn't buy it. At that point, Usopp brings out lunch. Luffy and Pukau dig in, and Pukau calls his friends over, who all run past Lapanui. Usopp tells the other kids about the crew's adventures until this point. As Lapanui refuses lunch, Henzo implores Lapanui to divulge Ape Concert's exit. Lapanui still distrusts Henzo, and Usopp yells at Lapanui for devaluing friendship. Whetton calls Henzo via Den Den Mushi, but Luffy answers, and Nami talks to him through space and time. Henzo then asks Phillip to send an emergency device into the Mist with Whetton. When Lapanui hears that Henzo works for Whetton, he brands Henzo a traitor. On the outside, Nami takes the emergency device from Phillip, but Whetton demands their capture. As they're about to escape, the Sea King that stole the Tyrielshin appears and gets ready to attack.
