Episode 139: Legend of the Rainbow Mist! Old Man Henzo of Ruluka Island
Luffy and his crew are being pursued by the Marines...again, but this time, by a Major Pasqua. He accidentally sinks one of his own ships by flicking a coin at it; in doing so, he allows the Going Merry to escape. Pasqua then sets his course for Ruluka Island. The Straw Hat Pirates realize they evaded Pasqua and spot an island with a tall tower. After docking, they are stopped and ordered to pay a "Harbor Tax," but Luffy, in search of food, tramples the taxing soldier. Then, an old man wearing a satellite asks the crew about the Rainbow Mist. Robin is interested by this, and they go to eat.
The old man reveals that he is Henzo and he's a scientist studying the Rainbow Mist. Robin then hands Henzo a book entitled "The Rainbow Mist VIII," and that sparks a conversation. The waiter then brands Henzo as Mayor Whetton's dog who takes his money and does research. At that, the Collection Party (CP) arrives. Everyone rushes to finish their meals, but one man is taxed a "Drinking Tax" by the CP, who robs him. The leader of the CP is Phillip, Mayor Whetton's son. Phillip then asks Henzo about the research and reveals 2 things. One: Henzo's research is funded by the tax money the CP collects. Two: the tall tower from before is Rainbow Tower. Phillip then tries to tax Luffy a "Large Serving Tax" for his spaghetti, but Luffy pins it on Usopp.
Upon leaving the restaurant, the waiter advises the crew to stay away from Henzo. The scene shifts to Nami, Chopper, and Sanji, who have gone shopping. They are confronted by Reik, Mayor Whetton's grandson and a member of the CP, for not paying the "Harbor Tax." Sanji fights Reik, but is shocked by Reik's electric suit.
Meanwhile, a commotion at the harbor ensues as an enormous galleon called the Tyrielshin docks, and Henzo heads towards it on a hovercraft. In the meantime, Sanji battles Reik with much difficulty, so he runs away. Henzo reached the ship and calls for the crew, but they aren't there. Luffy then boards the ship and asks for the hovercraft, but Henzo declines. He then talks about the ship for a bit when suddenly his satellite detects something. They run outside and see The Rainbow Mist. Henzo sails towards it on the Going Merry. After the ship leaves, Nami, Chopper, and Sanji arrive to see it's gone. The Going Merry then heads into the Rainbow Mist. Upon entering, they are transported to Ape's Concert, a pirate ship graveyard.
