Episode 149: Steer for the Clouds! Capture the South Bird!

This was done very well. In the original, Cricket breathed smoke out, so that was part of the transition to his explanation of the clouds.

Zooming out from Usopp/Luffy's swelled faces after Nami hit them offscreen was slowed down just a tad.

Right after Sanji comes out, Cricket smoking was replaced with a close up of one of his eyes.

Usopp asks if Cricket wants to fight him, and it's after that when Cricket is seen smoking, in both English and Japanese versions.

After the dinner starts and the camera zooms into Cricket's home, two scenes were cut: Cricket overflowing his mouth with rum and following that, a scene with some more celebrating, a time when Usopp sneaks in his Tabasco Bomber into Masira's mouth.
Cricket gives a small attempt to hit on Nami, which causes Sanji to put his foot on his face. After this scene, Zoro and Shoujou drinking rum together is cut. (Image)
Also after that, Robin drinking rum from a glass is cut, and the dub resumes as she puts the glass down.

Cricket's cigarette is mysteriously disappears once in a while in the original, so in the shots where it doesn't, gets erased. (Image)

Everyone stops when Cricket mentions the gold found in the skull's right eye. Him turning around with a bottle in his hand and standing up is cut. (Image)

After you see an image of a skull with a glowing right eye, the zoom-out transition from that image to Cricket explaining is cut since there was redrawing done - the bottle in his hand had to be removed.

While Cricket explains, you see everyone listening, and Luffy happily eating. After, there is a scene with Cricket looking drunk and drinking more. This had to be replaced with him talking with his eyes closed. (Image)
Cricket begins to read from Noland's log book. The crew drinks while listening, and so the consumptions are gone (including Masira and Shoujou being really, really drunk).

Some of those bottles had to go. During this shot, everyone else is seen drinking, so (through a tedious process) they were made to be still during this scene while the non-drinkers moved. (Image)

Bottles gone again! The same ones, actually.
Once the golden bird statue is revealed, Sanji's cigarette is gone (also when he asks a question, and pretty much throughout the rest of the episode).

So he asks. Cricket smoking before answering is cut, and his hand holding a smoke is gone for the rest of the shot. (Image)

You see the four guys discussing about the South Bird, almost looking like they're in a group huddle. The screen didn't zoom out at the beginning, probably because of having to erase Sanji's cigarette.
Same thing happens, when Nami and Sanji find out that it's Usopp making the fake South Bird calls.
